Talking Ragos Flame Staff : Get it cheap

Ragos Flame Staff

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

right then

ive seen ragos flame staff going for too much , the cheapest i could find one was for 50k , but there is a way to get a staff for under 15k

Staff

Energy +10
Fire damage: 11-22 (req. 9 Fire Magic)
Halves casting time of Fire Magic spells (Chance: 20%)
Halves skill recharge of Fire Magic spells (Chance: 20%)
Energy +5
Enchantments last 20% longer
Two-handed

that is the actual staff

to make your own you require : 5 collector items + perfect insightful staff head and a perfect enchantment staff wrapping (all for less than 15k )

go to the any collector in the following places : after the collecter are the items needed to trade for the staff

Altrumm Ruins : cantha : items needed = 5 warden horns
Vulture drifts : tyria : items needed = 5 massive jawbones
Talus chute : tyria : items needed = 5 frigid hearts

i went to altrum ruins and traded for a lotus staff (other two look like basic tyria flame staff's )

once you have your staff , get your perfect insightful staff and you perfect enchantment staff wrapping , add it to your staff and this is the skin you will end up with is ....

Staff

Energy +10
Fire damage: 11-22 (req. 9 Fire Magic)
Halves casting time of Fire Magic spells (Chance: 20%)
Halves skill recharge of Fire Magic spells (Chance: 20%)
Energy +5
Enchantments last 20% longer
Two-handed

exactly the same as a ragos flame staff ( it doesnt look the same but hey , its over 30k cheaper XD )

I'm not sure exactly which forum you wanted to post this, but it's should definately not be here in the game suggestion forum. Post it in the proper forum please, or send me a PM in the next while and I'll move this thread to where you want it.

I thought most people knew about these things, I keep seeing them on the forum. People pay (hopefully) because the want the skin and the name to show off with.

I care about this why? Fire Magic is completely overrated; high cost, lots of exhaustion, and no self protection.

Personally, I just paid the whole 1k for a Flint's Fleshcleaver, and now I've got a good Water staff, for less than it costs to make one. Or I could pay 10k for a Galigord's Stone Staff and still pay less then it would to craft it.

There is an even better way to get the staff. Farm it up yourself on either Orozar or Final Assault. Then it's FREE!

Just join one of the umpteen SF farming PUGs, and kill Rago until it drops for you. Even with two runs a night, you should be able to get one within a week...or accumulate enough other greens to buy one.

Air is where the exhaustion is, not fire. There are only a couple fire spells that cause exhaustion.

Anyway, the info is good to keep putting out there because new people are coming to the game and the forums all the time. Just because we who are forum junkies already know about it doesn't mean everyone does.

I quess you've never seen my Earth build. Absolutely no exhaustion at all, and yet it deals out massive damage, while keeping up defenses.

wow... some of you guys are real ass hats. The OP is only trying to be helpful and post some useful info for newer people that might need it. Remember, just cause you can post a response doesn't mean you need to.

Crappy collector items? They're the same if you look good enough. It's the best about GW there is mate...You don't need to pay alot to be good. aka skill>time played.

It's funny... I've got a slew of green items by farming them regularly. However, I've never had the attitude expressed above. Collector's items are most definitely not crap. They are customizable like other weapons (with the exception that you cannot salvage the mods back off). They come with perfect stats (aside from not having mods) and they're cheap. That, in my book at least, makes them the opposite of crappy.

If looks are your thing then greens and rare-skinned golds are the way to go. Certainly there are some greens that have mods you cannot find on normal drops or from collectors. These may be slightly better than some collector's weapons, but in no way so superior that collector's items are relegated to the crap pile. If functionality is your primary objective (and it should be) then collector's items fit the bill.

tuskan, the thing is, if we have a thread for every single permutation of this wonderful recent discovery (sarcasm), then the boards will be worthless.

1. Rago Flame Staff! Get it cheap!
2. Razorstone!
3. Drago Flat Bow!
4. Koosun Fire Staff!
5. Craft your own fur squares with charr hides!
6. You can get collector armor without having to pay 1.5k!
7. YOU GET THE FREAKIN POINT

if people have noobish questions, there are entire sections (AND EVEN WEB SITES......wiki anyone?!?!?!?!!?) that address all this stuff. It's a total waste of forum space to be posting up drivel like this that is discussed in depth elsewhere, in all possible permutations.

seriously, this is a total waste of bw

Fire Magic won the team a match, and that team beat evil the next round. Fire Magic was the BIGGEST suprise weapon imo in the history of GvG whne iQ pulled that off on iB.... for details, watch VoD iQ vs iB match #2.

No Spoilers.

I farm greens too. I use greens too. And most of the collectors are crappy because:

1) I haven't seen 20/10 or 10/10 caster collectors items, have you?
2) Wands with 5v50 doesn't really work for me
3) It's handy but not worth to use as a primary
4) Gold is superior in many ways
5) If functionallity is my primary objective I wouldn't bet on collectors nor greens
